Up to £31,401 pa + Car Allowance of up to £1239 pa

Mid Sussex is an ambitious authority with one of the most significant programmes of growth in the south east. To help us to deliver a high quality Housing Standards Service we are looking for a pro-active and enthusiastic Housing Standards Officer.

With excellent communication and organisational skills, you will be able to plan and coordinate a wide range of tasks. These will include implementing the mandatory licensing legislation, the investigation and inspection of private sector housing complaints within the district.. Additional qualifications and experience outside of your specialism would be an advantage. You should also have a flexible attitude with a commitment to achieving targets and improving the service.

To apply for this role as a Housing Standards Officer you will need an HND in surveying/building studies or equivalent or if applying as an Environmental Health Officer must have a degree or diploma in Environmental Health, hold a Certificate of Registration with the Environmental Health Registration Board (or equivalent), hold the HHSRS Competency Certificate and a full driving licence.
