Mid Sussex District Council has recently formed a new Commercial Services and Contracts division to bring its key contracted services together under one team. This department oversees Leisure, Waste, Landscaping and Parking Services.
The Temporary Admin Support Officer (12 months) plays a key role, providing an efficient and effective general administrative service. Providing back office support for the customer call centre, you’ll ensure the service provides an excellent customer experience. As well as dealing with the public, you’ll liaise with contractors and manage all formal correspondence.
Salary £19,819 pa - £21,693 pa
Using your technical experience, you’ll ensure all systems and procedures are reviewed regularly and, where necessary, introduce new systems to improve delivery.
Overall, you’ll oversee the smooth running of the office, whilst promoting an enthusiastic and customer focused approach to the delivery of services.
You’ll be providing vital technical support to the Commercial Services and Contracts Division – so excellent ICT skills are essential. We’d also expect you to have great numeracy skills which you’ll use to monitor budgets, provide support across the division regarding all financial systems and help to deliver service and budget plans.
As a main point of contact for customers, contractors and senior members, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
